Toya Delazy regrets collaborating with Cassper Nyovest

Toya Delazy expressed regret over her collaboration with Cassper Nyovest on the song “My City,” a favorite among some of her fans. Nyovest had featured on the track several years ago.

The London-based artist sparked controversy when she disclosed on X that she would have preferred to collaborate with AKA instead of Cassper Nyovest on the aforementioned song.

“Yeah, it was a waste of a good song. I could have collaborated with AKA, but I was young and not thinking straight. I should have followed Sony’s direction on this one. My heart was too big, and I gave a chance to someone I now see as vile. But I’m glad you all enjoy it,” she wrote.

While the specific reason for her dissatisfaction with Cassper Nyovest remains unclear, Toya Delazy revealed that she has forgiven him.

“I forgive him. I recently had a profound conversation with my Uber driver about forgiveness. I forgive him and myself for allowing it to happen. I may never receive an apology, but this forgiveness is for my own healing. I’m learning a tough lesson in forgiveness, but I’m surrendering to the universe.”
