The number of Mpox cases in the country has reached 20, following the confirmation of four additional cases in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal over recent days. Encouragingly, approximately 15 patients have been declared healthy and free of the disease. However, five individuals are still hospitalized due to complications linked to pre-existing conditions.

Health officials emphasize that the recovery of many patients underscores Mpox as a manageable illness. They urge individuals displaying symptoms or who have been in contact with infected persons to seek medical assistance promptly.
